Welcome to South Africa
Your Capture Africa journey begins! Arrive in Johannesburg, settle into your accommodations, meet your fellow travelers, and get ready for the experience ahead. This is your opportunity to get comfortable, connect with the group, and take in the excitement of finally being in Africa.

DAY 2 — LEARN & EXPLORE
Your First Look Through the Lens
Begin with an introduction to photography and visual storytelling, exploring camera settings, composition, lighting, and how to intentionally capture a new environment. Then take those ideas into the real world as we begin experiencing Johannesburg through its culture, history, neighborhoods, and people.
Potential experiences may include cultural communities such as Soweto, historic locations, museums, local art, and other Johannesburg experiences.

DAY 3 — CREATE & CONNECT
From Learning to Creating
It’s time to put what you’ve learned into practice. Begin with hands-on creative instruction before heading into the field for a day centered around photography, content creation, portraits, and visual storytelling.
A meaningful part of the day will focus on connecting with local youth and communities, giving you an opportunity to experience the heart behind Pixels & Perspectives International while creating images and stories with purpose.

DAY 4 — CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE
See Something New
Continue developing your creative eye while exploring another side of South Africa. The day combines practical photography and storytelling with opportunities to capture environments ranging from urban life and local culture to nature, landscapes, people, and everyday moments.
The challenge is simple: slow down, observe, and discover the story someone else might walk past.

DAY 5 — EXPLORE & ADVENTURE
Beyond Johannesburg
Step outside the everyday city experience and discover another side of South Africa. This day is dedicated to exploration, history, nature, and adventure.
Potential experiences may include a safari or wildlife experience, natural landscapes, heritage destinations, or locations connected to South Africa’s remarkable history.
Bring your camera. Bring your phone. But also remember to put them down occasionally and simply take it all in.

DAY 6 — FAITH, FELLOWSHIP & WILDLIFE
Experience. Connect. Reflect.
Begin the day with an opportunity for worship and fellowship with a local faith community before continuing the adventure.
The experience may then take us into South Africa’s incredible wildlife environment, providing opportunities to see and photograph animals while enjoying one final shared adventure together.
It’s also a day to reflect on the people you’ve met, the stories you’ve captured, and how your perspective has changed throughout the journey.

DAY 7 — RETURN WITH A NEW PERSPECTIVE
The Journey Home
Capture Africa may be coming to an end, but the experience doesn’t end when you leave South Africa.
Pack the photographs, videos, stories, relationships, memories, and experiences you’ve collected throughout the journey and begin the trip home.
You may arrive with a camera.
But our hope is that you leave with something even more valuable:
